Strolling Down a field of green,
Blades so smooth and shrubs so preen,
The breeze it sounds so welcoming.
The sky covered in a hue of orange and
blue.
A Paradise it seems. I thought this was
true.
A face so brawn with mighty colours.
Blue and red with colourful others.
Waving warm presence with a smile like
my father’s.
Such propitious of greetings and open
arms,
A warm, quaint place away from harm.
Carefree loaded with laughter in jokes
and bliss,
Time for tea, playfulness dismissed.
“Served!” Golden treats were the only
Dish.
Wrapped in gold, crunchy chocolates
with a profound mint taste,
“Eat it gently,” said the smooth,
familiar face.
I nibbled it through bit by bit.
I felt no hunger nor any anxious feat.
Looked up to a grin, a curious deed.
Suddenly, felt lightness, breathed in
and close my eyes.
Such thrill overcoming such a wonderful
surprise!
Hovered elegantly above the tall grass.
Swaying against the breeze as I asked,
“One more?”. “Gladly!” As he served
with finesse and trust.
Aimlessly floating, I urge a turn, I'll
try.
Drifted no longer. Now I can fly!
Zipping through the fields from corner
to edge.
Going beyond the clouds and off the
mountain ledge.
A distant yell but was unable to make
out what was said.
All of a sudden, I felt a heavy pull,
gently nudging me down.
I looked up and tried harder but
instead I got closer to ground.
Plunged into a river, fresh and calm.
Swam up to gasp for air. No qualms.
On the real side I freed myself from
blankets.
And my veil was lifted as I sat up on
my bed.
Excited, I stood up too high.
Hit my head. From the bunk bed
overhead. Off again to bed. To once again, fly!
