As I laid motionless on this bed,
To my Heart, I submit and in my past, I
pondered,
With every sweetness I have taste,
And every bitterness I assimilate,
Stumbling down into slumber, ready for
my number,
I am a man with only memories procured.
Always waiting for an old friend I have
missed, all my life,
From all the broken bones and pain I
have endured,
To all the happiness and bliss, I am
grateful to have thrived,
A friend I taunt at times in my
youthful actions,
A friend I kept in mind after all my
juvenile sentiments,
It has walked behind me for as long as
I can recall,
A friend to the lonely and bountiful, a
friend to all,
At last, before my smile, my friend
stands tall,
I will go without delay, without any
brawl.
Closed my eyes and pictured a last
thought,
In Love, I fall,
Taking my last breath….
Death announcing my last call.
