When I was a boy, I wanted to study the cosmos,
The wonder of space and why some stars are brighter than most,
I wanted to discover and effect change,
Somehow society has other plans for you to be tamed,
Growing in this reality, a dream too far-fetched,
For dreamers are cast aside only conformity is etched,
But slowly the scars fade and understanding comes,
As I dream of the infinite space, galaxies and spiral arms,
I wondered away and in its darkness I lay,
Hope for a wonder to come and sweep me away,
The pieces fell into place and into the depths I sink,
The cosmos starts from the infinite within.
